About the book

Marius the vampire is happy to stay under the radar as long as he has his fill of fig rolls. Despite Ailfí’s best efforts he takes little interest in the world around him, until he notices a girl who is a little like himself.

The vampire grows bolder as he tries to show off his vampiric talents to her, and Ailfí is worried sick that he will draw attention to himself. He is right to worry: not everyone wants vampires around, even the vegetarian kind. Marius gets noticed in ways neither boy expected, the friends are caught up in a war, and Ailfí has to face some hard truths.

The fourth and final book in the series about Ailfí and Marius, for young readers aged 10 to 13.
